2nd Day Of Llanrwst Job Dismantling 2 Massive Beech Trees
Llanrwst, Conwy Valley, North Wales
On Wednesday the 100 tonne crane cometh. The main road through Betswy Coed had to be cleared to get the crane through. The final lane up to the property was cleared prior to the crane ariving and when it did arrive great care was taken to not damage the road.
On arrival at the property the crane was set up with special aluminium pads placed on the customers drive, with blocks of woodplus rubber pads to avoid any possible damage.
The previous days wood was cleared to make space to process the 2 massive Beech trees that were soon to be dismantled.
The trees were 40m away from the crane. The driver and chief climber Mr Dion Wynn Jones used radios to co-ordinate the job, lifting Dion to the drop of the tree where he carried out some exceptional cutting.
The first cut was a 2.7 tonne limb.
Later in the day, the wind picked so extra care was taken by all.
The first Beech was dismantled and timber loaded into the trailer to make space for the remaining Beech.
The weather brightened up with no wind and or rain - perfect conditions.
The 100 tonne crane was operated by the highly skilled Stephen of Bucklys.
The clients were amazed at the size of the stems that were brought down by crane and the speed that it took to dismantle the two trees. Use of crane makes a job considerably safer and quicker to complete.
Feedback
“
Our situation posed a series of complex challenges to getting the work required done. All options were assessed and discussed, risks identified and mitigated, and a plan of action drawn up.
When it came to actioning; everything went like clockwork. Every team member knew what they needed to do.
Pleasant, knowledgeable, professional, efficient. I would have them back, and would certainly recommend.”
